This week has been busy but fun. Mckay started school yesterday and she loves the whole day thing. She was even more excited to ride the bus. It's nice because the busstop is right infront of our house so we just have to watch for the bus to come. I don't have to wake the kids up to take her to school anymore. Yeah!
Grandma and Grandpa also came up yesterday. We enjoyed visiting and showing them around. Aunt Leslie and Tom were also in the area to drop off Sarah at BYU Idaho. They came over for the afternoon and ate dinner with us. It's always nice to have family come visit. We enjoy the company! It's also nice to know that there is a little more family around and we will have Sarah over more often.
Another thing is a little over a week ago we closed on our lot (property). It's in Rigby (about 10 minutes from here). It's only 5-10 minutes from Idaho Falls, and 10 minutes from Rexsburg. It's an acre and we are excited to build a house. We are just in the planning phase still. We have a house plan it's just getting everything finalized. McKay went to Rigby last year for Kindergarten. She had to go to a different school this year because of the district lines. We will be right by her school when we move. It is a really pretty area. The land here just keeps going up in price. It's crazy. If we would have bought when we moved out here it would have only been 5 thousand an acre. It's all the way up to 20 - 30 thousand now. (I know that sounds cheap compared to other places like Utah and California). But hindsight is always 20/20 right? We are excited though. Jake is going to be the general and do some work himself but sub-out a lot. He is going to be really busy!
Well we will see everyone in October for Hester's wedding! It was good to see everyone last week! Love and miss you all!

Kids say the funniest things
The last couple of days, I have been listening to my kids in the car instead of the radio. I didn't notice what a hoot they are. I will try to explain as good as I can so you can get the picture.
About a month ago the kids (Kirsten and Cruz, McKay was still at Mike's in Utah) and I were driving back from Utah. Kirsten started singing songs and made up her own versions. She thought it was a hoot. Pretty soon she was singing, Row, Row, Row, your boat, Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, what did you eat for breakfast?
It gets better, we were driving home the other day from town and McKay and Kirsten were playing. All of a sudden I hear McKay say "Didn't you get enough sleep last night? Wake up!" I looked back and she was shaking her foot. I couldn't stop laughing.
The next few were on our way back from Utah last night. We drove down after church to pick up Maddy and Axel. As soon as Maddy was in the car, my kids were all hyped up. They were talking about playing a game and Kirsten pipes in, "I have the best game. Hide and seek! You count and I will hide." Need to say my kids are in the carseats and seat belts.
Even Maddy caught the kid fever. She was trying to come up with a game and the next thing I hear her saying is, "Lets play the name game where we try to guess each other's name." Then she turns to Kirsten and says "Kirsten, lets guess your name. Is it Abby?" Sometimes you wonder?
Anyway we are all doing fine. We made it here late last night. Jake has a lot of work before we go down again at the end of the week. Kirsten has finally understood the meaning of birthday and she is counting down. Everything is "Will you put that on my birthday list". McKay starts school a week from Wednesday. I can't believe she will be in the first grade. She is excited to go back. She is really smart. Cruz is almost a year. He still has no teeth and no interest in walking. I am not worrying however because I know it will be a matter of time before I am chasing him all over. I am not in a hurry.
We are excited to see everyone! We love and miss everyone.

Sunday afternoon
Sunday after church we went down to the temple and walked around the greenbelt, (the green area / park around the Snake River). We enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese. We also enjoyed the beautiful view of the temple. It was nice to spend the afternoon with the family and away from the rest of the worldly things.
