I'm really too young for this?

McKay came home with flowers from a boy! (She's still my baby, she's not even eight!!!!) It was a very sweet gesture. She even told him thank you. She was very shy to tell anyone about it though.
Although, a part of me wasn't sure what to think. What would you do if it was your kid?

The best thing is to not make it a big deal. It was a sweet gesture and let it go at that. McKay is too young and pressing her is not what you want to do. She will soon move on to other things.

I agree. I told her to make sure she said thank you and I haven't said anything since.

It still just boggles my mind.

her face doesn't look that excited.

I know what you mean about the boys. Emma told me yesterday she has a boyfriend. I asked her why he was her boyfriend, and she said it's because he shares his crayons with her. I'm so not ready to be dealing with this.

It is amazing how early things start now. But I am sure that you are dealing with it right. We've always told Aspen that boys are good to be friends with but not for more than that. And she has a lot of boys that are her friends because she is kind to everyone. But she also knows to stand up for her standards. So just have faith in McKay.

Purchase a shotgun. Take said shotgun out and clean it whenever the boy comes over to visit.

Did the boy buy the flowers? If he did, what crazy adult let him do that!!??

If he picked them somewhere, then that is a sweet gesture.

The collusion of an adult is a little misplaced.

Nate's right too!

That's what amazes me. They were store bought flowers (the cheap kind from Walmart). Jake had asked me "Where were the parents in this?" Obviously they had to take him there right?
